i try calling brazil from australia and i can keep trying for hours(4-6hrs sometimes). And the call still wont go through completely. I call, and to me its ringing, but at my friends house in brazil the phone is not. Are there any voip apps where it will go through first time ,everytime. I have tried skypeout but have the same problem as i just mentioned. Anyway around this problem. And i know that someone is home because i am talking to them on yahoo IM and telling them i just called, and they say the phone didnt ring.
PS Xeno P can we chat in yahoo IM. Would like to chat more about you expriencing the same problem i am having with calling Brazil.

yes, I use voice.yahoo.com all over the world, and never had any problems...just download the software......if both parties have it on there computer, its free....you also can use the web-cam so you can see your friends...
while I talk, we also use IM and send pictures and files....if you wanna call a land line from your computer, just start with 10 dollars and talk....

Why not just call the fault line of your local phone company and have them check the lines?

Why doesn't your friend download Skype on their computer, so that you can use Skype without using Skypeout
