Tail wind is the portion of wind that is blowing in the same direction as the flight of the plane. This increases the plane's ground speed. It's like floating down a river in a raft. only in this case the river is the wind and the raft is the plane

A following wind, just like in a sail boat. A wind that is coming from the directly aft position. a wind that imparts some measure of thrust to the craft due to orientation.

WHEN THE AEROPLANE IS FLYING IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS THAT OF WIND UCAN SAY AEROPLANE AND WIND ARE PARALLEL TO EACH OTHER AND AEROPLANE EXPERIENCES MINIMUM RESISTANCE IN THIS CASE WIND WILL BE CALLED AS "TAIL WIND".
