You can know the true lover when he/she says
"I need you because I love you"
And not
"I love you because I need you"

If you know him that much trhen you can gauge whether he is the one fitted with you or not. But if he is not with you fora long time then, that would be anothert thing to deal with. you can ask people who knows him and try to get some idea out of it.
