After brushing my teeth for the last time for the night, I don't drink anything other than water. Is there anything else I can drink that doesn't require brushing afterward?

Thanks, everybody. Water it is! That's probably for the best, because I need to drink more water anyway.

Special thanks to Kim for the unsweetened tea suggestion. That prompted me to do a search on unsweetened tea, and I found that it is actually good for teeth and has all kinds of health benefits. I think I'd still feel compelled to brush afterwards, but that may not be necessary. I'm definitely going to try to drink more tea and less Coke.

As far as I can tell you need to brush your teeth because of plaque buildup no matter what your (not) eating/drinking because of natural plaque buildup from bacteria.

I could be wrong about that but if your not going to brush at lease use a mouth wash close to Listerine. I did that for about a year and my teeth held up fine under normal eating conditions.

Try adding xylitol sugar to your drink. This might at least prolong the time in between brushes.

water is the only drink you do not have the brush your teeth afterwards. some other drinks such as soda or sugary drink you will have to brush your teeth because it is acid and can cause toothe decay.

maybe you can drink something else, just use a straw and place it far back in your mouth and take very small sips so it doesn't touch your teeth. it might work.

Any clear liquid should be fine as long as there is No sugar in it.
