Only time you should lie is if she was recently pregnant. Any other time you should tell the truth of what YOU feel. You can BS yourself all you want, but your heart knows the truth. This country's media is pussifying everyone. No one can handle the truth anymore. We award losers and overprotect too much.

No, you tell her shes fat and she needs to start working out. Tell her that you will not tolerate her fatness and her taking up so much space. Tell her that you refuse to by bigger sized clothing, and that you will not sleep with her until she starts looking more like Scarlett Johansson.
Umm...seriously tell her to go on a diet, but if you're a fattie forget it you go on a diet first.

Listen, this is a touchy subject for women you you need to understand that YOU NEED TO BE AS SENSITIVE AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN. You have to let her know what you think but not in a mean way. You should start by telling her that you want to be honest with her but that doesn't change the way you feel about her, and that she shouldn't get upset because that's just not cool. Telling her that shes NOT overweight when she is is NOT helping her at all. You need to encourage her by LOVING HER and advising her. Take runs together and work out. Never poke fun EVEN if you're joking. Hey, we're sensitive creatures and we need support. Good luck

I have to tell her the truth and try to explain to her that sometimes the truth hurts. So that she will know what to do to her body.

Haha, what so she doesn't know she's fat? Is she one of those idiots who end up getting upset because a doctor tells them they have gone from overweight to obese and act shocked and hurt?? If so, you date some dumb women!
If she's fat, tell her she's fat. I'd rather my partner tell me I've gained a bit of weight then find myself 200 lbs and counting haha. As if that would happen though!

trust me, she knows that she is fat if she asks you. and to answer ur question, yes LIE. we dont want to hear that we are fat if we are. there are only two times a woman will ask u if she is fat. one is if she is truly fat (she asks cuz she wants assurance that though she is fat u still love her and find her attractive) and second is if they are not fat but they have some kinda unhealthy rlshp with their body or food.
