My first love is the only one I want. So I am not the best person to advice. However time eases some of the pain and hurt.

There is no such thing as getting over the first person, or any person, that you really love. The pain never goes away and neither will the memories but all you have to do is keep on living. Never forget because it always something useful to hold on to. Just keep living and don't let it really slow you down. Life is like that.

Start soon on the second.
Ask a different one out every week. You'll soon enough find the second one. Maybe better than the first. That will get you over it.

I don't think that you ever do, maybe that is why they say that the first love is the deepest.
