Why am I so bothered over this?
I was at a Wal-Mart in a bad area and a Spanish guy and his wife were in the area I was looking at tvs. I walked by him while he was watching something and I said "Excuse me" to be polite and he goes "Yeah", then starts talking to his wife in Spanish.

He just said yeah real fast. Then his wife just looked at me and I stared at her right back as I muttered "Asshole" to her husband.

Then when I was leaving a scrawny 94 lb. streeth thug started staring at me because I looked in the same direction as his wife. So I stared at him right back and then I went to my car.

This was hours ago and it's bothering me. Why do I take people so much to heart? I've ALWAYS been this way and im 26. Im not a troublemaker, I am a good guy who runs his mouth when people piss him off or give them a good stare, just like any guy would.

I just don't appreciate jerks. Do I have some issues that need to be addressed?

The biggest problem is our ego's. I wouldn't say just yet that either of you had an issue. It was more like the guy was really caught up in his thoughts or something and didn't even realise that he might have said something (yeah) so fast or in a negative way. I'm not sure if you understood what he said to his wife. If not it might not even have had anything to do with you.

As for the Street thug, hey, maybe he has some serious insecurity issues and felt threatened when you looked at or what he thought was looking at his wife.

From a personal experience I've been through something similar where i got very annoyed and almost aggressive with people over very silly things. You need to sit back and look whats really bothering you in life and it could even be the smallest of things. Try look at it from a different point of view. Channel your anger, annoyance, etc into just ignoring people when they become that way. You'll begin to see that they have bigger problems than you and that you choose to not attract more negativity to yourself.

Its hard but if this helps, sometimes being really nice to people like say you smiled and waved at the guy and his wife after he said "yeah" instead of saying "a'hole" to his wife, they would feel rather sheepish and realise you meant no harm. Remember, everyone has their plate full of their own problems, don't always take it so personal.

Peace be with you.

You got annoyed because you showed politeness and got attitude back, or at least what you perceived to be attitude. Walmart is a zoo, and if people think they can stop in the middle of an aisle and not be bothered, thats ridiculous.
I dont think you have issues, but maybe some sensitivity to little things. You need to think, is it really worth letting these guys bother you this way? If they knew how they effected you, they would probably be happy about it. Dont give them that kind of satisfaction.

I don't think you have issues; these people do. I hate rudeness. These things bother me too. I guess we expect the best out of people and it really bothers us why people would act this way.
