Wardrobe help?

Question

I want to completely update my wardrobe. Where, how can I get cute clothes at a good price? (I have a budget:)) What are upcoming trends for the spring? How many tops, bags, shoes, skirts, jeans, and pants should I have? Please help! Email me with anymore questions :)

Depends on where you live which stores will be there. Some chains with name brand merchandise would be Loehmann's, TJ Maxx, Nordstrom's Rack, Saks Off 5th. These stores have last season's clothing so I usually impulse shop there to get an outfit for a semi-immediate use. Dots has fashionable clothing from club clothes to full pant / skirt / blazer suit sets for such low prices (under $40 for entire outfits not on sale). Some people like Wet Seal which can be found in malls, but I once bought a shirt that fell apart in the washer even before I wore it!
Magazines offer a lot of insight of what is going to be in style for the next season, if you look at a Glamor mag now it will show you summer styles, in the summer it will show you fall styles etc. As for what is / is not in style that depends on what looks good on you! I usually prefer a classic look with trendy pieces added in, that way the staples in your closet (black knee length skirt for ex) can be updated with a cheap trendy item such as a long tank or tunic.
As far as purses & shoes go, I will spend a bit of money on them. These are items you can have for over a year and the extra money spent on a quality item goes a long way. A good tip to remember with bargin shopping is that if it does not fit right you can get it tailored so do not be shy about buying that really cute shirt that is just a little too big. If you decide to go to resale shops or a chain sale store such as Nordstrom's Rack and you see something you like you need to buy it then since it will probably not be there next time you visit :)

Alright, here's what you do:

My advice would be to go to hollisterco.com (there expensive, so probably out of you budget) and look at their spring edition. Thats pretty much whats in style for spring. Now that you know whats in style, you could go to a much cheaper store (RAVE, Forever 21 perhaps?) and see if they have the same styles.

There isn't a "must" for how many pants, skirts, tee's or shoes or whatever, just make sure your wardrboe i big enough to never repeat for a week and a half.

Well, there are a lot of advertisements for T J Max. but I wouldn't shop there. I would stick with the department stores and just buy what you need at the time and buy the rest when there is a good sale. In my logic I would buy enough spring clothes so I could go two weeks without wearing same thing twice. But that just me. Don't buy it all at once though, don't over spend, it's not healthy!

go for the stores that get brand name clothes because of a default. most of the time there is nothing wrong with the clothes that i can find.
cheap but will be cute and branded

Well bermuda shorts and knee skinners are totally in!! you can get them at wal-mart, target, aeropostale, charolette rouse, and JC penny almost any where with cute bright colored tops!!
