I would like to lose weight on my lower legs (if that's not possible, then tone them), but I'm not quite sure what I should do.

At the moment, I go on my exercise bike for 20 minutes/5 days a week. But I don't think that's doing anything for my lower legs.

In addition to that, I recently started skipping. I heard that it works...if so, how long should I skip for per day to start seeing results? (I've started out not doing very many minutes - I don't want to overwork myself/injure myself)

I'd like to be able to tone/lose some weight off my legs in two months, for a special occasion.

any tips?

Oh and I'm a vegetarian - I feel that I eat fairly healthily. But I do have a soft drink/soda addiction. ;) I drink diet, though.

You may want to look at your protein consumption.

A lot of vegetarians are extremely over or underweight because they are malnourished, go figure.
You need protein to sustain lean body mass.

As for you choice in exercise rope jumping is excellent but you need to do it for at least 2o mins to get the maximum cardio.

Try power walking if you are not sure about compact exercise .
Also find a park with a hill and walk up and down that.
This will increase the range of motion in your legs and give you a better work out. stair climbing is great as well whether at home or in the gym.

As for the fizzy drinks drop em.

nothing but empty calories, laden with chemicals , not to mention aluminium cans. yikes.

Try taking a mile walk around your neighborhood, about 4 times a week, then move up to jogging. Always stretch before, so you can continue for longer, without having to stop. Also pick up some skin toning lotion, use 2 times a day.

Please word: no person can furnish a prognosis/propose medication with out SEEING the animal. No one on Yahoo Answers can propose a comfort - to take action might be silly. He does must pass to the vet. My SUGGESTION might be hyperthyroidism, however ONLY as far as the consuming plenty, wasting weight and coat situation is going. This is typical in older cats (ladies greater than men tho) and is treatable through meds from the vet. The coldness and drooling don't seem to be signs of this nonetheless. first of all, lose the carbonated drinks and caffeine.

you want to have a balanced work out schedule that works the entire body... working on one target area means you have to work them all. you want to consume as many calories as you are going to end up burning. your bike is good for cardio exercise as often as you do it, but keep in mind that it is possible to over-do it where you're actually burning lean muscle.

talk to your doctor or a fitness trainer. work out with a buddy. join a gym. do squats and lunges. do them every other day... give your muscles time to work through what you put them through the day before. if you're cycling five times a week, you probably don't feel "the burn" anymore when you do it, do you? you have to change it up. shock your system. our bodies get used to repetition.

Lift heavy weights with you legs. You will gain good muscle there and fat tissue will burn off there in order to maintain it.

use the freezer to add some extra oomph to summer foods freeze grapes for some bite sized delights or get a popsicle mold and freeze some greek yogurt with berries
