I guess no one that has answered your question so far understands what you are asking.
The only way to get your credit SCORE (fico, beacon score) is to pay for it. You can get a copy of your credit REPORT free once a year at www.annualcreditreport.com. Your credit report is a history of your past credit and does not contain your SCORE (fico, beacon score).

I see some of the answers you have gotten. Most are on the right track but not accurate. You WILL pay to get the scores. Some states, not most, now have a FREE credit report, NOT FREE scores, those you pay. To get accurate information you MUST pay for all three, usually $29, offered through either of the 3 reporting agencies.

If you have had credit pulled recently you have the right to have access to those reports. It is company policy, not the law of state or Federal, that excludes you from access of YOUR documents. YOU must demand them.

Likely, there is no need to check your score unless you detect a problem. Just get a copy of your report each year which will provides a snap shot and helps identify trends. It's not scored, but complete.

By law, you are required to be allowed a free credit report once annually.

Everyone gets around this by making it a "free trial" with a monthly fee program to follow. You just have to register with one of these sites for a free trial, and then call the number to cancel the trial before it costs you money (Usually 10 days or so). Make sure to use a reputable site, since you will have to give sensitive information to prove you are who you say you are. Try the actual websites for any of the three credit bureaus (Experian, TransUnion, or Equifax.)

It's a lot of ways to go about doing this.. First off if you recently replied for a CC card of applied to anything that ran your credit recently and you were denied.. You can ask why because you have that right, and you would get info to contact the company and all you have to do is send them a letter and they will send your Credit Report free of charge

You are entitled to one free report from each bureau, once a year. Just go to the websites of these credit bureaus, and request one.
