There is a Japanese pronunciation for 呉 ^^. It's 'go'. However... Chinese names (like 呉 -Wu-) are often pronounced using the original character with a Japanese (Katakana, to be precise) approximation to the side.

On a side note, the Katakana approximation for the Mandarin pronunciation of 呉 (Wu) is ウー (uu) ^^.
