I am with a credit repair company and they pulled my credit 3 months ago and had a bill for $300 on there. I know they probably disputed it and recently when I seen my cedit report it was not on there. Is it gone for good or did it no just show up that time.

Do not use these "crooks" to monitor your credit. They are doing what you can do for free. Why? All they are doing is disputing all negative credit on your report that you can easily do with a little effort. Each credit agency website easily tells you how to do it.

Yes, negative information can return. Why? Once an item is disputed the credit agencies, Experian, Equifax, TransUnion send a letter to the companies involved. If there is no activity or information received back from these companies within 30 days of the letter, under Federal law, the credit agencies are required to remove. Companies report your credit information in 30 to 60 day blocks. If the info is removed it may reappear within 30 to 90 days, depending on when the company reports to the credit agencies.

Do not listen to uneducated people who tell you not to use credit repair companies. People who know the law know that credit repair is a legitimate business. It is like repairing your car. Are you going to call mechanics crooks simply because they do for you what you can do for yourself with a little effort? Some people really show how ignorant they are when they spout off about stuff they know nothing about.

There is a chance the information can return to your credit report. However, if your credit repair firm is a good one (like if you are using Northwest Business Advisors or Lexington Law) then the information will probably not return. NWBA is the best in the nation with Lexington Law following in a distant second place. Of course this is according to my own research. You have to do your own.

But if you are using some fly by night company that bought a do-it-yourself kit over the internet and has no real training, then it is likely to come back to haunt you later.

There are only a few legitimat credit restoration companies in the nation. Do your due dilligence. Check them out with the BBB and their local Chamber of Commerce. Here is an article you may want to read that gives good advice on how to choose a credit repair company: http://creditconcerns.blogspot.com/2007/01/truth-about-credit-repair-arent-they.html
