Sorry but depending on your criminal history you may not get certified as a nursing assistant and I suggest you take the actual course and not anything correspondence since you have clinicals for the hands on experience you have to attend to get certified you can't get certified without clincal experience. You need to get your criminal history cleared up and find out in the state you live if you can still be a CNA since usually any violent crimes against people or drug convictions usually will harbor you from getting a certification or licensure to something.

Interesting that you are already doing what CNA's do.
I knew kids who had criminal records and did not fit in with the regular school population. They had to be homeschooled. I don't see HOW you can pass all the requirements that CNA's have by sitting at home. You actually need to see things performed and do them in front of supervisiors who grade you.
If you have a criminal record, NO smart nursing homes or care facilites will hire ex-cons. Too much stealing goes on as it is. That's a huge concern for anyone taking care of helpless is the temptation for bad elements to steal.
Not all people have a tendency to do that crap. It's not worth losing your job and good name over.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNHgh
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Please check with nearby technical colleges or post secondary schools offer programs that lead to a certificate or a lisence and see if you can make some kind of arrangement with them.
You can study vocabulary at home, but you still have to pass CPR requirement and acquire hands on experiences where certified professional can verify that your skills are sufficient to care for real patients. You may already know how to take vital signs of your grandmother, but you still need someone who can give you necessary credential for the future employment.
Also consider contacting local hospitals or nursing homes and find out whether they offer on-the -job training.
Wish you all the best.
