Has anybody tried the Rosetta Stone language series? Does it work?

I tried a demo of it, and really enjoyed it. Too bad it was so expensive, otherwise I would have bought it.

i have the danish version. It's very nice, but i don't think it will help me learn. I need structure and a teacher there with me in the room. I have to see and hear and watch people speak to learn a language. For others it is very successful. I think they use it for the FBI, actually.
