Jesus won? What was the prize? Crucifixion?
Answer to your question ... the Discovery Channel broadcasts a lot of things that are controversial in order to obtain ratings. Not all true. Not sure about this one, but would suggest to you that the Discovery Channel is not a reliable source of truth.

The Discovery Channel? It's funny how different "authorities" over the years have declared they know more about Jesus than the Bible recorded. Next it will be National Geographic, then "O", then who knows...
Just stick to St John if you want to know who Jesus was and is. And then read Acts 2:38 if you would like to personally make His acquaintance.

No it's not true. Many Roman emperors and Egyptian pharaohs claimed to be divine. They may have impacted their region in their time in a political way. But no one has ever impacted the world in a spiritual way down through the centuries like Jesus. No one ever did the miracles Jesus did. No one ever fulfilled the number of prophecies Jesus did. No one else ever lived a life without sin. No one else ever lived a life of perfect love. The other kings who claimed to be gods served themselves. Jesus gave His life for all of us.

No. There was a "teacher of righteousness" about 200 years before Jesus but he wasn't resurrected after he died.

Hard to believe there would have been more than one. It was not like mary could have tracked him down after he got what he wanted. Why would god return to a field he had already ploughed?
