It's so hard to describe...
The tears that well up in your eyes when you look at your child...
The laughter you experience when hearing them laugh for the first time...
Watching them open their mouths like a baby bird when they realise that solid food is so yummy...
The anguish you feel when they're in pain and there's nothing you can do for them...
Being so proud when they start to learn how to do things for themselves...
Feeling so sad when they don't need you as much anymore...
Coming hiome from such a hard day at work, he smiles at you and instantly you forget why you were grumpy...
There's no bigger responsibility, honour or feeling of acomplishment than being a parent...
It's the best thing in the world...

The joys of being a parent summed up in a paragraph will be hard but lets see.
The joys of being a parent include The following in my opinion. The smell of a new born baby, The first time you look into their tiny little eyes and realize you just discovered the true meaning of love. Watching them struggle to do something and reaching the point of tears in frustration and then finally getting it and they instantly smile and and begin yelling in pure joy. Watching them walk into school on that very first day and they turn around and wave with confidence. Watching your child grow to an adult and remain out of trouble and respectful. Knowing that you have done your job well when they move out of your home and pay their own way in life and you see them more than when they had to be with you those I feel are the true Joys of being a parent.

If I could write for days I would, I have so much to say when it comes to me being a new mommy. My little girl was a gift to me. She is adopted, but daily I smile at all the small things. I really enjoy seeing her grow, I notice every inch. The new words she learn, the tears when her little feelings are hurt, and the soggy 5am kisses now that she can climb in the bed with us. 19 months and more to come, the joys of being a parent are what keep my motivated!

Being a parent is the greatest gift in the world. I gave birth to my first child, a daughter four weeks ago. I got pregnant while on birth control, but I was happy, and scared. My whole pregnancy was miserable. I had morning sickness all day throughout the whole pregnancy. I gained 32 pounds. Had several complications. My water broke 2 days before they were going to induce me. I was washing dishes and I thought my water broke, but I had no contractions so I waited. Five hours later still no contractions. I went to the hospital and they started labor. 17 1/2 hours later at 2:46pm on Febuary 19, 2007 my daughter, whom I named Isobelle made her grand entrance. As soon as I saw her I started crying and couldnt stop. Its been four weeks and I love being a mom. I think Its the greatest job in the world. I never knew I could love someone so much. I sometimes catch myself peeking in her crib staring at her thinking how lucky I am.

It's the wonder of seeing the world through fresh eyes, and the re-discovery of the world through your child's eyes. It's in the innocence of youth, and the excitement of learning. The unconditional love that a child gives a parent and the nurturing that comes from the parent forms an ever lasting bond. This bond is what sees children and parents through difficult years. And its a love that transcends all other kinds of love.

Having little people to share all your love with, to never have free time to know you will always be some ones mother, to never know the limits of being embarrassed. Also knowing that you Will have some of the most crazy things said to you out of the mouth of your child. Not being able to wear really nice clothes without some kiddy stain. Looking in on a sleep child hearing the first mommy and word first steps and first of every thing. getting hugs, and kisses their first time buying a present making a card making a picture for you, the first fight and i hate you and calling grandparent trying to rat on you. Also the first look and meeting with your child

They're depending on you. It is un-freaking-believably hard. You have someone (or someones) who look to you all day every day for everything. Whether it's putting food on the table or showing them the right way to express themselves when they're angry they watch and listen and learn from the things you do and don't do. You constantly worry about little things like knee scrapes and missing stuffed bears and whatever the heck it was they just put in their mouth. You often worry about big things like them getting hurt in an accident or abducted by a stranger or getting beat up by other kids. You lose sleep, privacy, health, money, and sanity (just to name a few) but...for all that it is still so very, very worth it. They trust you and love you implicitly, and you will do everything in your power to keep that love and trust. It is a feeling like no other. They invoke and provoke the very worst and the very best in you, and you will strive to be the very best person you can be. After all, they're depending on you - and it's awesome.

a joy of being a parents - i cannot express by words, it can be felt and seen by the tears that roll down on my cheeks and the smile on my lips..And the expression of proudness and kindness on my face, as that's what is the joy of being a parent today of my own baby...

After raising four kids I can say the #1 joy is spending time with your elementary age kids. Their lighthearted, fun loving approach to life is just a blast to share. They are forgiving and incredibly curious. These are qualities I want in my life and I enjoy so much learning these from kids. I see kids as our greatest treasure. My favorite times are watching movies like Shrek with my kids, hearing them laugh and then laughing as we review funny scenes later; kids love to laugh. I enjoy taking my kids out for ice cream--often. And I keep a big bag of candy bars at home looking for ways to reward them for doing special things for others in the family to help out. My kids and I love our puppy and play with him together; I got the puppy for them as kids love dogs. If you can just realize what a unique joy kids are and simply make a point to have fun with them, I think there are few greater joys indeed.

The most joyous moment as a parent is when the beasties head for college and you can turn their bedroom into a nice den.
