So my best friend and I really care for each other and the feelings are mutual but we decided to just let it happen naturally when it happens - no rushing...so we've decided to stay friends. We're soo close - we talk about EVERYTHING.

Now that we're trying to be "normal" again - i've noticed it's harder for him to talk than me - When i try to be "normal" and talk to him he just sounds sad. I'll mention random guys i used to infatuated with and he'll ask, "why did you like him? do you still like him?"

Why does he do this? He knows i don't have feelings for them so why does it matter? He'll always fish for answers like that...

People fish for those kind of answers because they want reassurance about themselves

It's just insecurity and the feeling of losing you. I think it's very hard to go back to "normal". If one truly has/had feelings for the other, then sometimes it can be rather sad for that one because they just don't go away in a fingersnap. It may take some time/work until he can get over it. It's seems easier for you because, internally you've made the decision already.

He may also just be going along with it because the friendship is most important and he values you. Isn't that great? But it doesn't mean he can switch off the feelings. So, you may just have to be a little watchful of the things you talk about for awhile. People carry around hope for a long sometimes. If you can get thru this kind of period, it will help you become better friends and better people. It could be like Ross & Rachel or better yet, like Will & Grace. Those may not be the greatest examples but I would take a Will & Grace any day...

Insecurities, no one want to be considered 2nd to any other guy that someone they like talks of...One needs to accept if they are thee guy then she will eventually realize that and not be so questionable...it might take a girl/guy to like others before they realize they like you best.

He is in love with you. A person in love canot bear hearing about other people from you. It kills them from inside.
