in Germany you're allowed to drink when you're 16 but the age to get a drivers licence is 18. On the other hand in New Zealand you can drive when you're 15 but the drinking age is 18. What do reckon is the better system? Do you have a better idea when to set the drinking/driving age?

Just don't drink before you drive that night, that's the important thing.

Personally, I think a conditional license should be given at 16. You should be allowed to drink/vote/smoke at 19. If you're between 16-21 and are caught blowing more than a .03% BAL, you get your license yanked for 5 years. Ditto if you refuse a toxicity test.

But of course, I grew up in America. Nothing related to drinking has no effect. Make the drinking age 21? Who cares? Just get your older brother to buy the beer. Then again, nobody here at any age knows how to drink or drive properly.

There is no better system because we all break the rules at some point but it could be good to be allowed to drink at 16 and drive at 18 as long as there is parental supervision when letting 16 yr olds drink.

you have i incorrect, 18 is the regulation that , helps one to bypass into pubs, golf equipment, making a gamble shops etc, and to purchase alcohol. A be certain can enable a new child over 5 years i've got confidence it particularly is, to drink wine with a meal. On inner maximum, off street, floor any new child canpersistent a vehicle, motor cycle, even a tractor. issues like harvesters, chain saws, and risky upload ons to tractors are actually not allowed.

I think the drinking age should be at 18, at least in America. Ever since the drafting age has been 18, you have to think, if you can go die, why can't you drink?

It all depends on the community.. I know for a fact that there is no speed limit or so in germany. around 100 mph? if we had that here in the UNITED STATES, all hell would break loose..
