why not...that couldnt hurt, and they could even be better than the number because it probably would create less awkward situations on the phone and more substance in conversations between the both of you because now you have some damn time to think about what you want say, and not let the nerves get to you...lol...thats a good idea!

I normally don't exchange numbers, just E-Mails. I'm normally in classes and I have my cell phone off. I rarely remember to turn it back on. But I usually check my E-mail at least once a day. So if someone wanted to get in touch with me they have a better chance by E-Mail than by phone.

emails are so....permanent, and sometimes later people bring them up to your face or they pine or they read them over and over, and what you said might not be what you meant. Phone numbers are more friendly, you can hear the other person's tone and inflection, and get immediate response. But sometimes people don't want persistent emails, or maybe they don't even have a computer, or their own computer, or they are living with someone who they don't want to know their business.
