She's 15 years old? Yes, tell her that teen pregnancy will increase her risk of cancer by 150%.

Your friend has no idea what it's really like to be a parent. I'm 27 years old and I make great money, and it's still no picnic for my wife and I to take care of our baby. Babies are not novelties. You can't just have one because you think they're cute. It is absolutely selfish of her to think of herself, and not for what would be best for her child (which would be waiting until she is older and better able to care for a child).

Being very sexually active will put her at risk of HPV which can lead to cervical cancer and Hepatitis C which can cause liver cancer years later, but this has nothing to do with pregnancy itself. Her main health risk is sexually transmitted diseases, and to avoid those means abstinence or barrier precautions (like condoms) that are meant to prevent pregnancy.

Not only is your friend afraid of the wrong health condition but she misses the whole point. She should be afraid of becoming a teenage parent and her ability to take responsibility for another human being's life at such a young age. If she smoke or drinks, then she's already off on the wrong foot as soon as she becomes pregnant because it will affect the health of her baby during pregnancy.

The best way to help her is to learn why having a baby is so important to her, then help her find some other way to address her emotional needs.

Teen sex AND teen pregnancy can greatly increase your risk of cervical cancer. Having a baby when you're very young can cause a fistula which is hole from your vagina to your urinary tract causing constant leaking of urine. They need to be surgically repaired.

An awful lot of 15 year olds want a baby. It's a bad idea! Her whole life is ahead of her and she's living in dreamland if she thinks it will be cool, romantic, fun, sweet or anything but damn hard work! Imagine being 18 and having a 2 year old!? Imagine being in college with a 5 year old! Imagine trying to date, go to prom or have other kinds of teen fun like partying with a kid! Imagine having to hold down a job so your kid isn't starving! She needs a serious reality check! Many kids thinks having a baby will mean they'll have someone who always loves them but how do they feel about their own Moms? Being a parent is the hardest most emotionally draining thing a person can possibly imagine. And that's not even talking about the health issues.

It is possible. WHY? Because at the age of 15, your body is not fully developed. So, YES, teen pregnancy can cause your friend to have a type of disease or cancer.

I am not real sure but I don't think so. I haven't ever heard of it and I was 15 when I got pregnant. I have no disease. But I'm not dead yet either so who know what causes cancer. But she is to young to be talking about having a baby. Trust me I am speaking from experience. Tell her to sit down and ask her how she is gonna feel when she has a baby and her friends are all going out to have fun and she can't because she has a baby to take care of and mom want babysit because she has something to do. So you will be giving up of your childhood. Please tell her to rethink this thing and get knocked up don't keep the man!!!!!!!!!!!

Teen pregnancy does not cause any disease. However, it is just plain stupid.
