I would call just in case. I am not normally a worrier, very very relaxed but since she cried for so long, I would call, it cant hurt. My kids fall all the time and act like "Your fine!" and they are. But if they were to be that upset at that young, I would just check to make sure!

In the future always act immediately with this kind of thing. However from the bed to the floor isn't far to fall even at that age. When I had my baby boy, I was so proud and I know you are concerned for your baby. I was shopping in a grocery store and the basket was full; I was in the baby food aisle and the shelf had a metal bracket on it so that they didn't have to "stack" the jars. I had my baby in the baby carrier in a prone position, (lying flat on his back) but he wasn't tied in and when he raised up he forced the bottom of the carrier into the cart came right out of the carrier and scraped his head on the shelf and landed on the floor. I was moritfied, scared to death...everyone in the store was so great, they helped me threw the checkout and loaded my car, wrote my check, I signed it. had already called my doctor and he was expecting me as soon as I could get there. I cried as hard as my baby did which I think is mostly from shock.
He looked my baby over and said it was imperative to wake him on the hour to make sure he didn't have a consussion or go into convulsions....He's a genius now with an engineering degree headed for his PHD, so don't worry. But anytime theres an accident involving the head get to the doctor so he can check his eyes and so on.

How does a 4 month old fall off a bed? Was she in an adult bed? Better put her in the crib next time!
You shouldve taken her in when it happened but I would at least call now.

I would call your pediatrician to be safe. Lots of infants fall or other things like their siblings drop them or their parents bump their head when carring them, its really not uncommon, no one is perfect.
While its not a great thing to have happened it usually doesn't warrent a doctors visit. If you talk to your pediatrician via the phone they can tell you whether they'd liek you to bring her into be checked up or not.

DEFINITELY see a doctor. She could have some internal problems you don't know about. She could also suffer from a concussion. Especially since babies bones are so soft yet and she's still developing.
