I do think that some people are more "sensitive" than others. The psychics on TV, however, all strike me as shameless charlatans.

Consider this... Most humans use at most about 10% of the brain. What do you think that other 90% might be capable of? My mother and I have a natural intuition, a psychic ability you could say. Two weeks before my brother died I dreamed that he died. I felt something was wrong with my friend and when I checked in on him he was having a seizure.
Everyone is born with a skill or talent they are good at. Some people are amazing at math. Some are amazing at art. Some are pretty good at lots of things. I was born with the ability to see and feel energy. No, I'm not psychic all the time and I can't look at someone and see their future, but when I do get a psychic impression of something, I'm pretty guaranteed that is is going to happen.
Just like any other ability, with practice you get better at it. You can practice opening up your own psychic ability with meditation, clearing the mind, learning to sense energy movements, practice with another person and have them picture a color in their head and not guess it, but try to read their energy and get the picture of it in your own head.
The world of energy and intuition is a very interesting one, I suggest you try it out for yourself and see what happens.
By the way, I'm Christian and I believe that my ability has come from God. I've even discussed it with my Preacher and he agrees. I don't believe that my ability is demonic in any way, though I do believe that some people tap into demonic power. But not all.

Many psychics are fakers who rely on their knowledge of human nature. Some psychics are not "faking it." They are tapping into demonic power. These types of psychics can be very accurate, even more accurate than those in the Church who prophesy with the knowledge the Holy Spirit gives them.
But the thing about psychics is that they do not serve their customers with love. They may have been given a certain level of accuracy as a result of allowing demonic influences on their lives--but they do not tell fortunes with the intent of building up and encouraging the other person. I think demons enjoy deceiving people (which can mean actually giving them correct information and insight), but they have no love for humans at all.
The apostle Paul spoke about spiritual gifts: "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become a sounding brass or a clanging cymbal [a useless noise]. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge ... but have not love, I am nothing" (1 Corinthians 13:1-2). He said about prophecy, "Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy ... He who prophesies speaks edification [knowledge] and exhortation [encouragement] and comfort to men" (1 Corinthians 14:1,3).
Don't fall into the trap of listening to psychics, even/especially if they are members of your own family. They may ask to tell your fortune as a present of sorts, but psychics are like a randomly clanging cymbal: yes, they make noise, but the noise is not pleasing, nor will it truly touch your heart.

In my belief, having looked at the matter with an admittedly skeptical eye, there are no true psychics. It is possible for people to predict things that happen. For example, I predict that it will rain tomorrow.
Somewhere.
Sometime.
Has your uncle ever predicted things that did not happen?

Well it almost seems scary too me.
I dont know, I think that the ones at the fair n ones like that are definitley FAKE!!
But I mean, I dont have an opinion on all of them because you never know I guess.
Sometimes though, it just seems so evil and you can really get a bad feeling when hearing them speak so I try not listen too those.
My great grandma actually claimed to be able to place curses on ppl and she was a woman of God.
So my opinion is to just not really belive it too the point where that what you trust in and put your faith in so to speak

I think the currently perspective on psychic powers is spiritually dangerous. The resason is that if someone predicts something and it happens, the glory and praise goes to the person who made the predication (and the money from the book rights and TV appearances, of course). Christians should daily strive to put their entire faith in God alone. "Choose you THIS DAY whom you will serve."

We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

Of course there are psychic people If you read Corinthians chapter 12 verse 1 and you will understand what psychic? spiritual? gifts are all about. You can have the gift of wisdom, knowledge, the gift of healing, prophecy, and to another the gift of being able to distinguish between spirits and on and on.
All these gifts are from God.

Hey may very well be communicating with spirits/demons that arent of a human nature, and that can see into the spiritual relm. However, God says that he is the only one the is omniscent, and to rely on/gain knowledge from other spiritual beings is breaking his commandments. Probably a demon - don't go there.

Most psychics claim they get their information from spirits. I have read many articles and watched many programs and most agree that any contact with the spirit world is of the devil, not God.
