Although it is a misfortune that even one would do such a thing there is one thing that is certain. We cannot judge the Church because of a few that do wrong. If your co-worker was caught stealing would the whole company be not-righteous? Therefor I believe we must look to the Church and the teachings of the Church as the truth that is united to Jesus. We have all sinned and the ones that are guilty were at a major fault especially because they strongly represent the Church and we suffer because of it but what the Church stands for and the truth of the Church cannot be denied. God Bless.

JOHN: Like in everything else, there are good and bad - coexisting. Whenever, you have an entire group being lumped together, you can rightfully assume, that someone is out to smear the entire group or what it stands for. A better question might be: Should I believe every accusation of any type of abuse by you, as being plausible ? - of course not.

I think it has something to do with someone standing there telling everyone else what the priest did to them and usually the priest admits to it and then everyone else he molested comes forward, it's not just one person making the accusation.

Of course not. There were a number of credible accusations, then a bunch of people jumped on the bandwagon and it got out of control.

No, that would be crazy. Victims are being awarded a LOT of money, and people have lied for a lot less.
