You can try stuffing blankets into the windows or buy sound-proofing foam (which is quite expensive). There isn't a good, cheap way to do it, but the next best thing would be to get a white noise machine to drown out the sound.

Hang heavy, lined curtains on the windows. if it's really bad you can also hang heavy fabric on the walls on long curtain rods. the fabric will deaden the sound. you could go with neutral light colors on the walls to mimic paint and then a pattern or different color over the windows so the space was still defined.
this is assuming you don't want to get soundproofing foam, etc and do the job for real. lots more $$ and not removable.

The easiest and probably cheapest way is to run a fan or humidifier. I live in a very open house and this is what I do to manage the noise. It works great!

I would move my home office to the basement temporarily while the construction is taking place. The basement will be so much quieter and it won't cost a thing to make the problem go away!

ya take egg cartons n open them n the part that has the things sticking otta them put thoes facing tawors you n put them all over your walls trus me bc i havbe a 15 inch sub in my romm n i always blast it n you cant hear nothign outside of my room except for a lil acces nois but nothign much
