You feel like kissing was used like a power against you and you don't want to feel powerless again.
It is understandable that you don't want to be vulnerable, but that shouldn't ruin your life or your relationships.
Take kissing into your hands and make it powerful for you.
The next time you see him, make the first move.
Make the experience empowering for yourself.

Are you scared to kiss him because you aren't a good kisser or you just think that he won't kiss or hug you again like your other boyfriend?
Your new boyfriend is probably a lot different from your old one and just because he was wierd afterwards doesn't mean that your current boyfriend will be. I don't think you should pull away anymore. That will just make your first kiss even worse later on because you will be working it up into some big life changing experience. I think you should just buckle down and go for it. If he doesn't kiss or hug you again afterwards then he's got a problem...not you.

I don't think you should even be calling him your boyfriend if your afraidd to kiss him. What does that say about your relationship? That's like the kind of relationships people had in 6th grade come one. If you would even consider them relationships. Unless you really are that young.. lol sorry. It kind of sounds like your not ready to date yet though. If this is supposed to be your first real kiss, don't stress about it. It's much easier than you think and you'll be glad you got it over with. Just kiss how you see it in the movies.

Just let it happen. Unless you have a terrible bad luck, that kiss will be the first one of many more and not just a good bye kiss again.
Just forget about that. It was a bad experience. We all have those, and we have to leran from it and move on. That’s it.
Next time you are with him, you be the one who surprises him and give him a kiss. Smile after it, and let him kiss you now, this time, you let him do it.
Good luck and have fun kissing!

I know this an "easier said that done" response. But...
you need to realize that this guy is not your old bf. He is a new and different person and it's unfair for you treat him like your old bf. If you were to do that in all things just think how miserable you'd both be.
Now this is different if you're saying you're not comfortable kissing him yet. Girls need to learn that they control how far things go and how fast they go in a relationship :-P

tell him that you want him to kiss you but you want it to be a suprise. Tell him to do it when your not expecting it. It will be like ripping off a band-aid and once you get that first one out of the way you will want to do it all the time.

Everybody is different- he isn't your ex! Let him in and see what happens. Besides kissing causes you body to produce antibodies that help you keep from getting sick so not only does it feel good it is good!!!!!

Sounds like you're afraid he's going to leave you, too. Just talk to him about it. If he's the friend you believe him to be, he'll understand. Pick your time to talk, like, when you're all cuddled up cozily together... and go for it. It'll be okay.

Just remember that this guy isn't your ex. He and your ex might be friends or might know eachother but that doesn't mean that he's the same. Just remember that.
