what's so special about believing God? wouldn't God reward kindness and humility?

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

There is nothing wrong with being kind and sincere. Don't stop it. However, believing in God will change your idea of kind and sincere. God is the opitomy of kind and sincere so why not get to know him and see how much better life can be? Efforts to be 'good' are wasted without God but are rewarded greatly with Him. When you give to God it is paid back ten fold. I don't want to give you the hail fire n brimstone talk. I'm sure you know that one by heart. But the question is why is it important. Well, aside from the wonders He can work in one's life here on Earth an eternity with Someone who loves me and with Someone I love sounds like a really excellent plan.

The answer lies in what took place in the First Earth/Heaven Age. Not too many people know about this as most people only listen to man and give the Word of God a little nod at times.

Nevertheless, its all in the volume of the Book the Bible. Read it sometimes and then never stop reading it.

This second go around now is called the Second Earth/Heaven Age. This is the final generation for this age as it will end very soon at the arrival of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

If you haven't learn the truth by then you will know it for sure when you see the LORD.><>

Don't forget. Jesus Christ became our Passover and we are just 11 days away from the Most Highest Day to Celebrate for all Christians.><>

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

These three verses show that only our belief in Jesus Christ will redeem us from our sins and give us eternal life. After being washed clean from our sins and being born-again by believing in Jesus as our Lord and Savior our works done in Christ Jesus will earn us rewards in heaven for all eternity. In the meantime all blessings on earth in Christ Jesus can be appropriated by faith.

better to be a nonbeliever and act with kindness and humility than to be a believer who does not.

the thing is, that knowing God(true belief) and knowing ABOUT God(fallible belief) are not the same thing. A lot of people who know ABOUT God only think they believe truly.

True belief only comes about by Grace...which happens in accord with the karmic merit that one has earned...by being kind, honest, sincere, etc.

Not really. God is Love the Bible says and he is looking for a relationship. He really wants to be your friend and supporter and is not satisfied with your being a good person; he wants to hear from you and guide you in how you live, to be much closer to you. Good way to understand this is to read the book of "Mark" in the Bible. No one has ever seen God but Jesus has made him known, it says, so reading this will help you see how much he enjoys being with people and he has not changed.

Yes, He will, but only here on earth. Once the day of judement comes, your sins will have to be paid for. The price is death (that is, eternal separation from God). Only what is holy (perfect in body and soul; unblemished) can be in Heaven. Jesus paid that price for us. So, you either believe, and on the Judgement day claim Jesus' righteousness, or you don't believe and have to pay the price yourself. Oh, and no, Jesus is not eternally seperated from God.

well being kind is a relative term. what is meant as being kind to you might not be kind to me. It is important to believe in god so your intentions are clear. why would God want to reward you if you don't believe in him.

Because anything you could do on your own and call it "good" is like filthy rags to HIM. You cannot be "good". Even Jesus, when He walked as a man, told His disciples not to call Him good because no one one was good except the Father which is in Heaven. GOD desires a relationship with you and as for HIM blessing your works, HE does not bless anything we do if it is not covered in the Blood of Christ.

That isn't always true.

Its easy just to say you believe in God.

But its hard to be a kind and sincere human.

That's why for me, it's more important to be a kind and sincere human than to believe in God.
