Aesthetician/ Esthetician Schools??

I want to go into esthetics, and I know I have to get a certain license or something, but i was wondering if anyone in this field could tell me what kind of education i would need. Right now I am geting my General AA degree at a community college. Also, I live in Southern CA right now, but maybe in a year or two I wanted to move to Canada with my boyfriend, but i know that some colleges give out licenses that are only good for whatever state you study in. I live in Washington and went to a school for esthetics about 8 years ago. It was a specialty or trade school like a beauty school, just for esthetics called The Euro Institute. I went took the course in 4 months going full time. They also had a part time evening class that completed the course in 1 year. After completing the course and receiving my certificate I had to go and take the WA State exam to become licensed. Every state is different with their licensing requirements you would just have to check and see what the requirements would be for where ever you go.

I know what the word, "aesthetics" means, but have never heard that there are schools for that very thing. Why not write to the Canadian Bureau of Licensing to find out exactly what their critieria are for granting a license? Then just do as they say!
