Maybe never. You have destroyed the 'emotion and pleasure' part of your brain. But, you must know that, since you are in rehab. Actually, since you will want it the rest of your life, why not think about saving some of our decent kids from the same fate? Go to the schools and share your story!

As far as 'trying' and 'working' to stay sober, and fearing and fretting (o man i am really sticking my neck out for abuse and reports here.. gulp,) ASK GOD! He made you, and He knows all about you. AND... to prove it.. He sent His only Son to reach out to you to give you hope and eternity! And, GUESS WHAT! He never sleeps, and He is waiting for you to have this very same conversation with Him RIGHT NOW!

QUIET all you NAY sayers, and liberal so-called atheists! I HAVE A RIGHT TO SPEAK WITH OUT BEING REPORTED! Or else, SUNSHINE will ring the bells for YOU! Right, Will?

All I can say is bless your heart. I am proud of you for wanting to stay clean. I live in a small town that is being taken over by meth and it angers me. It is not going to be easy and you MUST stay AWAY from your old so called"friends". One of my family member's wife died in front of her children after she got her last fix. They thought she had just passed out and they were trying to wake her up. This happened in a public place. She had been in rehab and had only been out for about a month. On the other hand a local woman spent her jail time and went to safe P and rehab and has now been clean for 3 years and still going strong. If there is a will there is a way. Go home with a clean slate and stay away from the ones who helped you get to where you WERE and if you have the will to have a good life and good friends and have family, you will be fine. If you ever get to a point that you don't think you can handle it, ask for help. Call someone, make them come get you and or stay with you to get your mind off of it. This evil drug has killed so many people and ruined so many lives...My two little cousins no longer have a mother and many more are being abandoned every day. Stay strong, you can do this.

Believing your life will be so much more fulfilled without meth, it will give you hope and a goal. Meth takes the very soul of people, you need to believe you are worth so much more than that disgusting evil. Know that you are lovable, and trust that your life is going to improve when you step to the plate, and take responsibility for what happens in your life. I've a son that meth took hold of for three years, three years I thought we'd never get through alive. He had all a young man could dream for, and lost it all and close to his life. Living under a freeway overpass was his turning point, and he came home after joining NA. It's been three years since, and the best ever. Good luck with your journey, you will learn much during this time.

I'm very sorry to say this but it is 1 of the hardest drugs to get over. Let me just say this to you because it is what I used to think of when I was trying to get off of it myself. It is a quote that was in a news paper that I happen to be reading while I was in the rehab that I was in, West Central. OK here it is; "Who will give me back those days when life had wings and flew just like a skylark in the sky". Now I forget who it was that was being quoted in the paper but that little piece caught me big time. I made it and I think that you can to 1 day at a time just get you a program going that doesn't include anyone at all that you used to get high with. Just stay strong and you'll be OK.

you never get over an addiction it stays with you for life. thats what addictions are.

I wish more people would realize how much of an impact doing drugs or drinking heavily will do to them the rest of their lves.

my best of advice is... ounce ot of rehab, get a shrink or a group. they have groups for addict people. It helps to be with others who UNDERSTAND. Also if your friends are the cause of why you started in the first place. then I suggest changing friends. harsh I know but its the best solution. Besides friends that cause you so much harm arent real friends to start with.

also get a hobby. something you love to do. so when you get a craving do that. so if you like to draw.... when a craving hits.. DRAW to help take your mind off of it.

After 6 months you might have suceeded, but it will still be on your mind. A friend of mine told me. She got over it, but only the thought of how lucky she was she never went to jail was the only thing that kept her permanently away.
If you get a job that requires you be tested that will motivate you more.
