Many years ago my grandfather had a method of ridding cats from the yards of any house he ever rented .He once told me he used a chemical called "high life" and to ask any pharmacist about it and he would know all the details. My grandfather is gone now and the pharmacist's I have asked know nothing about "high life". Any body know anything about it? Thanks

I think gramps was making it up. I'm an old school pharmacist and have never heard of anything called 'high life' ....... except for Miller beer.

Yes, I remember my Daddy using it for different things. He would buy it at the feed store and put some in a coke bottle with a corn cob stopper, then put it in among the unshelled corn. The hi=life would evaporate slowly and the corn would be safe from weevils and rats. He would also put a bottle in the dug earth potato kiln. My Daddy would not let us handle it, but one time my oldest brother put some in a cup and poured it on our cat......the cat turned flips and screamed across the yard and into the woods. He came back home later that evening with a little less hair. I would like to know the chemical compound of that liquid, if anyone knows.

no but there are other products to deter cats aswell you may find one at a cheap price that works very well

Go to the zoo and ask them for a quart of tiger or lion piss.
