well I start kissing her showing her some love etc...and eventually end up in bed. Is it sin to daydream like this about a girl I am not in a relationship with?

yeah, it's called lust, one of the 7 deadly sins. also the 9th commandment says not to covet your neighbors wife, it doesn't matter if this girl is married or not, it's a sin. also it's adultly just as if you'd really done something.

there is no such thing as sin. no almighty being is recording your every thought, and therefore you should daydream all you want, no one will find out unless you tell them. sexuality is the second most powerful urge, and you therefore cannot control it, so why try? trying not to "sin" is like trying not to get burned when you jump into the fire. it is impossible.

The short answer is yes. To look on a woman to lust after her in your heart constitutes fornication. Just understand that it is the flesh doing it's thing to have all of it's itches scratched! You need to bring this into submission through the power of Christ's name.
