Most these relationships seem to not have any future purpose....I'm in a serious relationship now, with my current boyfriend. I'm almost gave up dating at finding out most people enter these relationships for just sexual intercourse.

Of course they are necessary. If not it would be just one big orge fest now wouldn't it? Peace.

If you are finding that most people enter these relationships for just sexual intercourse you are mostly right in that there is always the drive on both sides, God made us this way. The part that's wrong is that it's being for the wrong purpose. The purpose is to have children. If you feel this is the correct purpose then you need to find someone in your own church who believes as you do. Or (you didn't say your age) busy yourself with education until you're the age to marry and enjoy your life without sex until you meet the right man who believes as you do.

Not everyone is in a relationship just to get some sexual intercourse. The whole point of relationships is for people to have someone care, love and support them. For most people, having a relationship makes people happy and not lonely.

I would say not at all. I'm single, and not planning on dating anyone until I am ready to look at marriage as a possibility for that relationship. Sex is for marriage, but a lot people don't even have to be dating in this culture to experience it.
