unless you want to pick out of people's trash for food, it's pretty expensive to walk or hitch-hike to Ok. because it'll take you a long time to get there.
I'd say bus is the best/cheapest. it's a long drive but it's only an entire day. so count on spending about 20 for food. but the bus ticket is the cheapest ticket you'll find.
Train is good too, but i think you're gonna have a hard time finding a train from ny to ok.
Flying is the fastest by far despite the numberous stops you'll be making to get a cheap ticket. that and doing a lot of online research to find the cheapest. still it's probably cheaper than driving because gas is almost $3/gal and if you are driving anything than a honda civic type car, you'll be eating gas like crazy. and spending more than usual on munchies.

Fly - gasoline expenditures are loopy extreme - you will pay soooo a lot an afternoon just to park your vehicle (final semester at my college, i paid $11 an afternoon to park my vehicle, and that replaced into in basic terms for 7 hours!!) - you will not probable use the vehicle as quickly as you get here (in the journey that your gonna bypass around the city, have confidence me, u gets nowhere including your vehicle, you will finally end up walking or taking the subway) e book a flight - e book NOW previously expenditures get extreme. Delta and Jet Blue are often affordable.
