An Apostolic church is anything but boring! They openly worship and praise the Lord. Usually the music is lively and inspiring. They do have a belief in modest dress and shunning the sinful ways of the world. They are the nicest people I've ever met.

Yes. It was great in many ways like they are not a bit ashamed of Whom they serve! They love praise and worship time and praying in the Spirit. On the down side, however I find their beliefs to be legalistic as far as their dress code goes and I disagree that one Must be baptized in the Spirit (with evidence of speaking in tongues) before they can go to Heaven. ( I have been baptized in the Spirit with such evidence but I do NOT think I would have gone to Hell without it. I am glad I have it though because praying in a Heavenly Language is so....I don't know how to describe it....but it is great!)

I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost one week before I met them. I was attending a small weak Church and God directed me to them. I enjoyed them. They taught me how to pray and worship with power. They taught me how to grow Spiritually strong. The Lord since then had me move, but I am very greatful for the guidence and teaching and the correct Water Baptism I received while I was there. They Baptized me in the name of Jesus. Try them out, you may like them too. They are very fun and exciting.

I saw a man diagnosed with cancer given 2 weeks to live, brought in on a stretcher, get up and walk to the bathroom, the next day he went to the doctor and given a clean bill of health, i saw a leg grow 2 inches, while he was being prayed for. just to name a few of the miracles that I saw while i attended this church. i knew the people personally and knew their background.

Yep... my experience was not favorable... the particular folks, especially the leaders, I fellowshiped with were horribly judgemental and controling. I was told because I did not "manifest the Holy Ghost by talking in tongues" I was not saved. Then a group of women surrounded me yelling and crying in what I guess was supposed to be tongues - while one of them held my head and tried to get me to loosen my jaw and "let the sounds flow".

When I refused to return to the church the lead "Apostle" called me all hours of the day and night to tell me I had a "rebellious spirit" and the "spirit of isolation"... I responded with a restraining order... nuff said.

Praise the Lord.
