Go for it! Talk to him but don't come off as "ooh, you're a cutie- i like you!" Talk to him as a regular friend and go from there. Don't jump into anything and play it cool even if you're nervous as hell. Plus.. is 2 years gonna matter when you're older? No.

Wow i was in the same situation when i was 16 i went out with this guy who was 14 the only thing is i kept thinking bout the age thing and what People would say and eventually called it off well we didn't' talk till my senior year i was 18 and he had just turned 17 and i really missed out on a good guy... so if you really like him or your just curious to see what happens go for it.

I got involved with my first girlfriend that way, we were classmates that never really spoke, then one day we chatted on MSN n developed feelings there, i tell u it was terrible, I was in love with the character chatting with me online, not the person herself, I realised that only when we got together, so i had to force her off as i felt really guilty being rotten to her subconsciously and thus hurting her on many occasions. This is just my experience, hope u can draw from it and not make the same mistake. :)

soo the 2 year difference might seems a little bit shocking to you because your in high school. but when u leave, 2 years becomes nothing. if u really like him, go for it.

A good listener, with a pretty smile, is much more appreciated than a chatter box. At your age it's quite normal to be nervous. You are only an apprentice.
