It sure can! I never would have known that, it's one of the best lessons I've learned here in R&S.

Yes. I do believe so. Scientific discovery can provide insight to certain things. For instance 'evolution' could be from a single cell or it could be from Adam or Eve. Who is to say that human kind hasnt evolved in the past??

Science illuminates aspects of the universe that inspire the same sense of wonder and awe the religion must have for peoples in the past. If we have any imagination at all, we should be struck dumb by the structure of the atom, the processes of the brain, and the weight of the billions of years that have preceded our present age.

Discovering and resolving wonders in the world only creates more wonder in the world. Whether or not that philosophy takes a religious or spiritual strain, I think anything from faith in the world (per atheism) to faith in God (per monotheism) can very easily increase as we discover more about how the world around us works.
Otherwise Fermi, Pasteur, Linnaeus, Mendel, Fleming, Dalton, etc. are all in trouble as Christians and scientists. ;)

I think it has in my case. I found "Why God Won't Go Away," by Newberg and D'Aquila inspirational, and opened my eyes to a new way of viewing the human pursuit of the spiritual.

Yes. Science grants us insight into the inner workings of God's creation. The more science explains the incredible interaction within ourselves, our planet, and our universe, the more I see how meticulous God is in his design.
The human eye alone is extremely complex in how it detects colors and hues. Our heart that beats on and on is also amazing. Our Sun is approx 92 million miles away yet coupled with the filtration of our atmosphere, it give us the needed energy for life. The list goes on and on.
Thank you science for helping me better appreciate God's creation and all his splendor.

so which you're asserting that the scientists are mendacity? they don't make those issues up. in case you think of that this is merely one huge conspiracy, then I even have one regarding the lunar touchdown which you will locate exciting. Do you relatively have the slightest clue what technological information is? technological information is the artwork of finding out something to be sure if this is real. The scientific technique is as follows: Ask a question. as an occasion, do heavier gadgets fall swifter than lighter gadgets? a million: build a hypothesis. i think of heavy gadgets fall swifter than lighter gadgets. 2: try Your hypothesis by using Doing an test. Drop 2 gadgets, one heavy, one mild, and notice which hits the floor first. Repeat various time to make certain. 3: learn Your records and Draw a end. permit's say they hit the floor on a similar time (which they might). you may then might desire to admit that weight does not impact the cost at which something falls. 4: talk Your effects. post your findings. .

If you have to have scientific proof then you do not truly believe. Faith is what saves us, Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen, I do not need science to prove to me that God is, I only need FAITH.
