Met a man at a museum social function. We talked...he asked me out...I accepted...we went out on a nice date...talked on the phone the following week...During that week he expresses..."I'm falling in love with you". WHOA ! A bit much to be hearing in first week of knowing someone. I asked how he can express something without knowing me more in depth...his reply was "I just sense something about you and feel I do know you" He seems nice enough..Yet, the way he expressed so soon...it makes me uncomfortable.
Anyway...story, story, story. My question is have you experienced this happening? Why would a guy verbalize such a feeling as precious as love just within first week? If you have experienced this...what was the follow up experience and what was the guy discovered to be like (whether you continued seeing him or not).
And, oddly enough, I've experienced this a few times in last two yrs. of simularly expressed in first dates or first several weeks. Whats up with these men?

BTY . . . I'm 50, was married 23 yrs., now peacefully divorced 4 yours. So, I'm not a teen or in my 20's...Yet, have only been dating a little over two years and some of the 'discoveries ' of the dating world stun me...i.e. this experience. Would appreciate insight of this experience. Thanks.

It is easy to feel love towards special people... are you a special person... do you know what sort of power you have?
Many men are have too little understanding about their own past to understand their current emotions. So when immature emotions arise from their primal drive system they simply blurt them out in an attempt to woo the woman. You need to listen very carefully to see if there is truth and love in their words.
Though I should say that a man who knows his past will be able to telly you immediately his feeling but will have the patience not to.

I do not know what is up with these men! lol I have experienced this.. outcome--> I am married to this magnificant man that told me he loved me in a matter of a week!!! Some men say this soooo soon because they feel that warmth with you and they are very comfortable with it. I love my outcome and just give him a chance. If you really enjoy his company, like this feeling with him, and he treats you well then maybe the outcome with be wonderful! good luck!!

Yes, something similar happened to me, and it does make you feel uncomfortable. How can he think he knows me well enough to say that he loves me so quickly, when I am still processing "dating?" Sounds like you're going out with men who are desperate -- either in a hurry to get married or get in bed.... honest answer.

Yes I have experienced this. In my case those types of guys turn into the psycho-stalker type.

i would let him know that you feel uncomfrotable with this
behavior so soon, and then go from there, just keep thing
simple.
