I lived that.
This guy had an obvious crush on me.
My friend had a crush on him. She was convinced he was crushing on her.
She wanted me to find out more stuff about him. His crush deepened on me (I told him a friend of mine likes him-- he assumed I was the friend).
I told her to go for it.
She did and he crushed her.
I guess just be careful and prepare for the worst!

you and your friend should talk it over, and if you both like him, just forget about him. if it runs a risk of losing your friendship with her, then it's not worth it. even if he does like you more than her, you start going out with him, and your friend never talks to you again, what happens when the two of you break up? you will be left without a best friend or a boyfriend.

well ask her if she does if she says yes say u will hold back and see if she has a shot with him.
if she says no then go ahead.
or u can just ignore her and see which one of u he pays more attention too.

you should talk to your friend about it. best friends are hard to come by and you don't want to accidentally mess it up. ask her or, have someone else you trust ask her before you make any moves. its not that complicated when you act straightforwardly.

find out who that guy likes and if it's not u, then just stop crushing on him. if he likes u then just play it cool. if ur fren doesn't like him then u're good. stop crushing on him if it means losing ur frenship over some guy that might not like any of u
