How do I find a date for prom? I go to an all girls' school, I have guy friends, but they're not exactly "date material." People always talk about bringing one of my friends, but honestly, it'd be way too awkward, especially dancing with them, and I don't want my prom to be awkward at all. Other than that, I have two months and I need to get on this like ASAP. Please don't tell me to go to a mall or something though, that's what 7th graders do.

Prom's are awesome! And that's a pretty interesting situation you have there. Try this, get together with a group of close girlfriends (or guy friends) and set each other up with dates. Sit down talk about it, make lists and discuss who you think would be good for each other. When you have that list, go out with them within the next few weeks and get to know them and if you find one that you like, then that's the one you go to the prom with.

make a post on craigslist saying you are an 18 year old girl looking for a prom date and maybe a lil more aftewards. you will get some responses.

Go with a friend that you can have a good time with but not necessarily think of in a romantic sense...it sounds corny, but if you go with a close guy friend and discuss your expectations before hand so there's no extra tension...good luck and enjoy!
