What is the ideal number of days to stay if you're going for a holiday in Istanbul? To see the beautiful city... Perhaps those who stayed in Istanbul or those who have been there could help me on this... Thanks...

Hi,

Firstly, Thank you very much Leonardo, for your answer. You know Istanbul. :-)
I am living Istanbul, and it very big and crowded city. There are lots of historical and shopping centre.
If I were you,
2 day for Bospohorus Tour from Sirkeci and AnodoluHisari,
2 day for Sultanahmed (Topkapi Place and Hagia Sophia,
1 day Old Pazaar and Beyazit
1 day Golden Horn and Pier Loti Area,
1 day Misir Carsisi (if you like spice and plants etc)
1 day Kadikoy Area (Asia Side)
1 day if you like suburb area, maybe visit there
1 day Brakfast at the Hidiv Khasri and walking in the forest

I mean you need minumum 7 days maybe 10 days.
But you will never regret

Kind Regards

It is sure you need 1 week.
I stayed one week and unfortunately I didnt see everything, because it is such a big city, and you never finish with it.
Attention:Never go in winter, I regreted it.You cant enjoy it so much, it was raining..
But less than 1 week no...Istanbul is endless, you ll fall in love with it...

Hello,
Best days are friday to sunday accept heavy traffic in Istanbul. But if you choose the Ships or the railway or subway it's ok.
You can visit the following site for Places in Istanbul.

7 days would be sufficient for an introductory visit to this magnificent city but you'd need to spend considerably longer to see everything of interest.
One factor to bear in mind is that Topkapi Palace and Aya Sofya (two of the most important sites) are closed on different days (Topkapi closed Tuesdays, Aya Sofia Mondays) so that although they are neighbours, you may need to return on a different day to see them both.
Enjoy your trip!

I have been there twice, and I only stayed there for 2 days (which wasn't enough time). I would say a week or two is just right to see everything.
