The Holy Quaran explains that Muslim men must respect their wives. It encourages that. If the wife is being really disobedient and unfaithful to Allah, the most high and supreme in glory, then she should be hit lightly. And why is it that people don't realize that this is also in other faiths?
Anyway, thanks for your question, because people need to understand.

... The same way Christians explain stoning as a reasonable punishment for adultry.
I think they should simply have a category under "religion and spirituality" called
Religion and Spirituality > Bash>Christianity
Religion and Spirituality > Bash>Islam
Religion and Spirituality > Bash>Israel and its Jews
Religion and Spirituality > Bash>Atheism and Agnostics
While it is healthy to inquire about what we don't know, I am really beginning to wonder where we draw the line between appropriate and inappropriate assumptions about other points of view.
Just a thought ...

The modern explaination that the Muslims are trying to pass off is that they are only to strike her lightly and other such nonsense. This is contrary to the words of the Qu'ran. The Qu'ran specifically states that a husband can beat his wife, there is no other interpretation for it. Since people have challenged Islam on this matter, they deemed fit to try to spice it up and clean it up to make an otherwise disgusting thing look better. My answer to that is :
A bath and a bowtie doesn't make a pig a poodle. The Qu'ran is a hate book, plain and simple.

well, if she has cheated on you more than 3 warnings, you are allowed and that doesnt mean injure her but to scare her and tell her that such behaviour is not accepted, keep in mind she already took three warnings before that. You are absolutely not allowed to beat her otherwise. The f'ucking crusaders used to make up all taht bs because they saw islam spreading so fast and they would go out of business. 1.5 billion muslims in the world, and more convert everyday, they wouldnt if it was a false religion.
That fake bast'urd can f'uck off, i'd wipe my a.ss with his face.

004.034 Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). (QURAN)
-If you can read properly, you would see that light beating is the last choice.

why? you don't agree with that?
if your wife lied to you,you think it's wrong to beat your wife?

it says beat lightly, and as a LAST resort. i don't agree with it, like if my husband ever hit me, i would slap him. people take advantage of it though and think it means they can hit them whenever they want and as hard as they want, but they can't.
