Career day is different at each school and can be provided at any grade. Basically its a day to introduce different career opportunities to students. Some activities that take place during career days are:
- Bringing in presenters that talk about their careers
- Allowing students to break up into groups to shadow a professional for the day
- Having a career resource fair where students can go from table to table in one room and learn about all types of careers
The possibilites are endless in how the teachers want to create the career day but the goal is always the same and that's introducing students to different careers.

A lot of schools here have a career day every year, even in elementary! There are different ways that it's done: kids might do presentations about their parents career or a career they've decided to research; people may be invited in to talk about their careers; high schoolers may be taken to some career expos going on in the city (to which anybody can go, really).

It's really just a chance to hear about different careers, what you do in that career, what sort of education you need, etc. If you're interested in such a thing, check out your local colleges--they, too, may sponsor something like that.

It happens in school when you get teachers ins ubjects taking to you about your potential in that subject and your leanings towards a particular career
like if you re great at science the teacher might say
do this at university and then you can have a career in a variety of science based jobs

Mine took place in 9th grade. My school had us choose 2 or 3 careers we were interested in, and we went to a seminar that gave us information on it.
