like i said im gonna be a fresh driver, and i know insurancs love to prey on types like me, but im a safe driver, i'm sure. I was hoping to find a car that wouldn't be expensive in insurance but good with speed. Basically what car can I get that would fool an insurance company.
My first option is an Rx-7 FC because its pretty weak in specs, (hopefully they'll only see it for that) and next would be a used lexus IS.
please don't reply with you're too young, i've heard this too many times, I also know i will be a good driver, ive aced lts of driving sims.(not saying its th exact same thing, but good enough for me to practice without going on the road)

your a safe driver that needs a fast car. come on. most minivans are fair on insurance and get up and move to. like a Pontiac Montana it's like driving a Pontiac grand prix with a school bus behind you. hahaha. get yourself something that is good on gas and drive it easy to save you on the repair bills. show us how safe you can be. good luck ps. insurance co don't prey on types like you. they just know statistically that there is no safe fast drivers out there.

Sorry, but i really have to answer this one. I don't want to say that you are too young, but asking a question like this only confirms that you are. Regardless of your praises of being a good driver, at 15, you have no experience on the roads. You have no idea how crazy some people can be behind the wheel. Sims are definitely not the same and I don't think they are good enough. I really think you should think about getting experience on the roads rather than thinking of what kind of car is fast. By the way, at 16, and a fresh new driver, your insurance is going to be through the roof. You are considered an inexperienced driver for the first three years. So you can get a P.O.S. and still pay through the nose. My advise is to get something that runs well, is good on gas, and won't cost an arm and a leg to service. Get the experience, and then work on a better vehicle. Maybe by that time, you won't be in such a rush.

Any kind of fast car is going to be terrible on insurance if you're young. Get something reliable and build up a credit. You're talking about expensive speedy cars: get something slower, something cheaper, and (if that's so important to you) looks snazzy anyway. (I'm a sucker for the imminently crappy but cute Ford Probe/Escort, myself.)
There isn't really any reason to get a crazy fast car unless your career plan is Indy 500; in which case getting a Lexus is not a good starting point. A car that never breaks down is a lot more important than a car that can get 0-60 in 9.2; you don't need it and stats like that bore the crap out of the girls you are presumably trying to get with such a car.

its obvious that money is not a factor in this.......u are spoil and you are thinking with your ego. Wondering the image that you'll create ridin in one of those 40k sports car. and even use it still carry a good price. ......first decide on the option that you like......then narrow it down to the options that you can live without.........a computer should be able to narrow down the list of cars with the options you want. .... then to be humble pick out the least expensive one......... that puts more money back into your pockets and your parent will appreciate the fact that you didn't try to break the bank.......... Now I'm a sports car fan also... I found that a lot of cars are nicer and makes a real financial statement........but if its about the drive...the cheaper one will do just fine.......... I can afford other vehicles that cost more......but this is what i found out......people that buy those car end up spending more money trying to beat or out run a ford mustang gt.......and it has all the same options, better performance, cheap to repair, all you will be satisfied........now to prove it to you ......GO MAKE A LIST OF ALL THE CARS........THEN GO TEST DRIVE THEM ALL..........you will find that the mustang is very hard to beat.........insurance is no higher on a performance then it is on a luxury performance.

Well my first car was a trans am and now I have 200sx. My insurance is more expensive on the 200sx. Insurance on an RX-7 would be terribley expensive. Really insurance on any import would be expensive. But if you want an import get something like an integra, prelude, 240sx, or a RSX.
