The only thing you can say is the truth. You will not sound immature or insane but instead you will be showing everyone that you take your own health seriously and are not afraid to ask for help or information when needed. If you think the doctor is the only person at this moment in time you can really talk to then insist that you see them, tell your counsellor and parents that, but do it in a way that lets them know it is nothing personal and with time you will feel happy to talk to them more when you are ready.
This is your life and your choice.

If your parents won't take the time to take you to the doctor, then talk to the counselor. Perhaps she will be able to convince your parents to do what is right. First of all, you don't have to know whether you have depression or OCD. You may or may not. However, when you talk to someone about your problems, just tell the person how you are feeling about things. You don't have to diagnose yourself. You could be just going through a bad time that will pass with a little help.
Good luck to you.

Tell your counselor what you have just said. It is all right to tell her you are not comfortable with her yet. She's a professional, and this information should be helpful to her, and not hurt her feelings. You can discuss with her why you want to see the doctor. And, if you don't develop a good rapport with the counselor reasonably soon, you should see about changing. A good counselor should be able to discuss this with you without taking offense. If not, she's not that good, at least not with you.
Are you hoping the doctor will prescribe medication, or refer you to somebody else, or do you just like to talk to your doctor? Any of these can be a good reason to see your doctor. However, if you think you might need medication, you should see a good psychiatrist, who will be more familiar with these medications. You could get a referral from your doctor or from your counselor.
Good luck.

Just be honest. It will help if you keep a diary or journal of your feelings and symptoms for a few days/weeks so that you can show your dr. Write down every detail- what happened, how you feel, why you feel that way (if you know why), what you did to change the situation and so on. It will really help the dr get some insight as to how you feel especially because we tend to forget things when we are at the dr. As for your parents just tell them that you are concerned that you are having feelings that you should not be having and would like to get some guidance from your dr- they should understand. If your parents aren't willing to help you out then go to your counselor and tell him the same thing and ask him to help you talk to your parents.

First of all, you need to discuss this with your parents. It's their legal and moral responsibility to "have time" to take care of you. Let them know you need to be evaluated. You should see a psychological counselor to do that properly. Most GP's don't know what they are doing when it comes to psychological problems and hand out meds like candy.
If your parents are going to be deaf to your pleas, see the counselor at school for some help. That is her job to assist you.
Many people your age have depression, it 's part of the hormnal thing going on with your body right now. You can control your thoughts, when you seem to be going down a dark road, think of positive things.

depends on where you are, you can seek help anywhere other than the school, family doctor or your parents. you need to do this for yourself and for you to start feeling better. there are a lot of county, government funding programs offered for mental health or just plain counseling. you should look it up on the internet - type your county or state and then look under human services, they should have a section for community mental health. not only that - they're free and it won't cost you a thing to seek advice. they even have a number for you to call (24 hrs) if you need someone to talk to. depression is the leading #1 cause of people to commit suicide. i wouldn't want you to be in that position. hope you feel better! ;) OCD is controllable and isn't always a bad thing. take care!
