Wake Up In Spanish

You're wondering, perhaps, about the name of that program that's on tomorrow morning? Despierte America = "Wake up, America!" You might say it's the Latino equivalent of Good Morning America.

Good show, too.

As for "the spanish section" of Yahoo Answers, I think you kinda found it, since this section is Languages. I figure they don't really need a question forum for each language on earth. This one spot does pretty well...

First answer is correct, but you can also say "Despiértate!"
o "Despertate!". It all depends on whether you use usted, tu o vos to adress somebody in Spanish.

Despertarse means "To wake up"

despierte means "you wake up" as a command, so basically
"Wake Up" when talking to someone.

if you say like an order is
"Despertate!"
if you wanna say when you wake up the verb is
"despertarse"
and "despierte" means wake up refering to a person ...
