When your first true love leaves you after 8 years of happiness is it possible to ever have the same love for someone else as you did for them?

First, you must heal. Time is the best, most natural healer, so let it do its work. You will love again, I know it and everyone else probably does too. But you just need to know that your love for the man before will probably still be there, but it will have just turned into a more affectionate, caring, brotherly kind of love, rather than a passionate kind of love.

First love is always the hardest and the strongest. There will be other times when you will love someone but if good leads to better than you will probably love as much but not stronger.

Its always hard for someone to get over their first love, but I believe that you will find someone who will make you feel better and you will be happy. Just think, its his loss. You will find someone out there who is worth your time.

yes it is possible to have that same type of love again. You just have to find that person who suits you well. You never know what might happen sometimes. Good luck to you and I hope that you find a person that suits your needs.

It won't be the same love because it won't be the same person and you have hopefully changed and grown in 8 years. But, yes, it will be as wonderful.

If you've had kids by him, no. I've had 2 by my first marriage, that was 27 years ago, no one wants to deal with any kids but their own. Very few out there that has a really good heart. Good luck!!!

Definitely. It will never be the same. It can be much better or worse. You will change your aspect on life over time. What seemed so important won't any more. What didn't seem to matter will.
