So I'm a senior this year and I'm graduating high school and my friends and I were talking about how we missed our childhood. So i decided to host this little event with about 20 or so people that I'm friends with. We were all going to go to the park and play some games from back in the day one last time just to kind-of remember the past.

we were going to play a game of "capture the flag" at first that was just the main plan to just go and play a game of capture the flag but then I thought about adding some more activities.

so in the end I've decided to do
-capture the flag
-tug of war
-that giant parachute thing
-Four square
-basketball

It was just a day in the park to have a good time. But i haven't really "told" any of my friends about it yet. I'm afraid they migiht think it's kind-of "dumb" or "weird"

I was wondering if you could tell me what you think?
If you were a senior in high school would you think this was more "weird" or "fun" or what?? Should i take anything out

It sounds like a fun day in the park. As someone who is considerably older than you, I found it amusing that a senior in high school is already nostalgic for childhood! All of us have some "little kid" in us, and I think it's great that you want to nurture yours. Invite your friends and tell them to make sure that they bring some water. Playing is thirsty work! Have fun.

GREAT IDEA!! I think most of us wish we could take time and play those young games. I liked four squares(bubbling bus stop:) If you want to go even farther back, I always enjoyed duck duck goose.:) and kick ball.

Sounds like fun, especially your senior year, when its graduating time and seems like adulthood is around the corner and you know everyone is kind of going their own way. Reminiscing about the past, a day with friends, acting like a kid again, priceless. GO ALL OUT! You won't regret it. Your friends will love it and it will be one of the best memories you will have. You can always look back and say I was fun and silly once. Good luck:)
Congratulations on graduating. I know its bittersweet. Life after highschool is not as scary as it appears.:) Enjoy and cherish the good times you do have. And learn from the bad. And "Each day do your best and let God take care of the rest."

I think most of those games adults would play if they have the chance, (except four square). High school is bad. Kids think they are all grown up or something but as soon as you leave suddenly the world gets more fun. There isn't as much social stigma to doing things like this. Sounds like a great idea.

Its not a dumb idea, it sounds fun. Hey, adults still play, there are even dodge ball teams croppin' up all over the place. And my friends still get together every summer for a weekend of camping and kickball, its hysterical, none of us are as good at it as we were 20 years ago, thats the beauty of it. No where does it say high school grads can't have fun anymore.

This is actually a great idea. Although the games are slightly childish, your friends will definitely like it, since you thought of the idea. Personally, I like to sometimes play childish games, it's fun to be kids again sometimes. Also, much of the day will be spent just talking and remembering, so no one will focus TOO much on the activities. The activities can just be something to do while talking and remembering.

Sure its kind of weird- but that's what would make it fun. Its okay to act like a little kid every once and a while. I remember the giant parachute thing!!

Go ahead it sounds fun. I am 31 and would love to be able to do fun, kid things. We grow up so quick. Enjoy it while you can. I've wanted to host a slumber party for my friends, but I thought they might think it is corny. If you all like the idea don't let the lame people hold you back from having FUN,FUN, FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was in the army, a bunch of us got together one day and played "red rover" flag football and every other game we could think of, just for the heck of it.
