I have never felt at home in Protestant churches except some Episcopal churches but US Episcopal is now pretty un-Biblical in their views of social issues. I really dislike the evangelical liturgy of a pop rock concert followed by a fifteen minute motivational speach. I much prefer the Catholic Mass because of the reverence, tradition and more meditative service. The fact they focus the service around Communion not around the preacher's message seems more meaningful as well. I also have a problem with the grape juice and crackers as only a metaphor when Catholics use wine and bread that are the body and blood like in the authentic Last Supper. Lastly, I like how the Catholic Church doesn't change with the times. It seems less about individual interpretation and more about the traditions that have been passed down from the original Church set up by Peter with Jesus' authority.
I'd just like feedback from Christian brothers and sisters of both the Catholic and Protestant traditions.

All I can say is welcome home, brother :D. I was a protestant myself up until 2 years ago. I saw the same things you see and converted. RCIA was the best thing that happened to me and I can proudly say I'm a member of Christ's original Church. Oh what a joy!

I'd suggest you get in touch with a priest and look into RCIA. You'll be glad you did.

God bless, and welcome home.

The church, whichever one you choose, should be your spiritual feeding ground, your spiritual restaurant if you like. If you are not being fee at that restaurant what could be the reason for going back? Find one that feeds you good food, pure food, Biblical food.

Your other choice is to stay where you are and try an improve the menu they offer. Try to get involved and change what is wrong. Make things better for you and the rest of the patrons.

Just a thought.

If you feel like you will be able to grow in your faith more in a Catholic church, then go for it. That is what it is all about. Paul wrote about getting caught up in divisions like between Protestant and Catholic faiths in 1 Corinthians chapter 3:

For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? 4 For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?

5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

It is God Who gives the increase, church is about God, it is a means to help you draw near to Him, and whatever fits best with you, go for it.

God bless

Go where you feel God is leading you. Every church is going to have it's problems, but if you think the Catholic church is right, then pray about it and then make your decision. Think long and hard about it and use dicernment about what is right. my personal opinion would be to convert, but I'm biased as I am also converting to Catholicism right now.

There is not a lot to choose among them. If you decide that you want to do the religion thing (and you should consider your reasons for wanting to do so, as it accomplishes nothing except to give you warm fuzzies), check out Lutheran churches.

if you think that Christianity is all about what denomination is best, you're wrong. It has nothing to do with denomination. It's all about the spiritual relationship with God
