They are better filtered and attended
They are not as out of control as public, and not as classy as private, and not as academically heightened as Catholic...
All in all, a good choice, in overall satisfaction

The ones I've heard anything about in Ohio have been established by people incompetent at both providing education and at managing money.

They seem to cater to the egos of the parents, making them think they are getting something special.

No. Calif. way up above Sacramento. Some of them are very good, some not so. Check out the scores of the grads. ask lots of questions. talk to students and teachers.

my son goes to a charter school in ohio and i love it hes at a 5th-6th grade level in 2nd grade

Unless the school has been in business for at least 5+ years then they are usually poorly structured.
