The traditional "over the hill" is forty, but I would have to say 65 because that is about the age when people start retire and slow down. Life is still going at full speed for most 40-50 year olds.

My mom is 43 and I consider anything over 40 over the hill. However you are as old as you feel. If you act like an old woman that is exactly what everyone is going to see.

I would say 40 is over the hill, but ur really not concidered "old" until around late 60's, I'd say. Also I believe ur only as old as you feel. If you act like a 21 year old and really ur 40 or whatever, then hey, ur 21 on the outside.

You're over the hill when you feel over the hill. Some people maintain that youthful attitude their whole lives. I think those people always stay on the sunny side of the hill. But those who complain about the inevitability of death or give up on youth- those are the people that push themselves over the hill. Sometimes that is at 25, sometimes it never happens. So it really depends on the person.

50 is over the hill. the hill, of course, being the mid-point of life. as in closer to death than not. consider birth the bottom on the hill, 50 the summit, and death the bottom. I mean the average person won't see 100.

well, age truly is a state of mind. when i was younger i thought 40 was really old. now, at 46, i don't think there really is such a thing as over the hill. my dad is 78. he can out think me and out work me. his mind is as sharp as ever and even though he gets a little tired now, he can still keep up with guys half his age. he still thinks he's 40. he does feel a little old now and then but he has every right.

Age is just a number. And I guess the old saying is true, "You're as young as you feel". I'm 46, and I can see the hill, but I'm not OVER it yet!! lol
