im a health freak so obviously i eat heathy &work out 6 days a week. i have a question about subway subs, are they really that healthy as they make it sound? meatball subs dont look healthy to me at all, theres no veggies..and all the other "new" subs looks really mcdonalds-ish. i ordered vege-delite which is i think 150-200cal (?) with wheat bread, pretty good for a decent price..but thats all i can eat from there. are there any people out there feeling the same way i am?

when people talk about subway being healthy, they're not talking about the likes of a meatball sub. They're talking about the ones with the healthy bread and fillings!

I think that Subway sandwiches are relatively healthy as long as you don't put too many extra toppings on them. I always get the Italian BLT, which has lots of veggies, and if you get it on wheat bread, that's even better. Some of the other subs (like the meatball sub) might not be the healthiest choices ever, but if you make the right decisioins, you should be OK.

the subs are ok health-wise... but only the ones that are actually on the "healthy" list. mostly they dont involve cheese or mayo. :( the veggie delite is good.. you can also do a turkey/veggie and be just fine. subway is almost always better than mcdonalds though. :)
Just ask them for their nutrition information.

hehe Peanut butter and jelly relatively is not all of the dangerous for you. It will probably be bigger in fats considering that of the nuts. Sugar possibly just a little overboard however there are such a large amount of first-class peanut butters and jellies in the market now a days that you'll be able to purchase cut down sugar forms. Subway could be well...much less fats. ;) I occur to relatively like a well all veggie sub with cheese and italian dressing. Yummo!

I used to manage one. Yes, their sandwiches are really healthy, depending on how you have them built. Extra cheese is not a good idea, or adding bacon, etc. But compared to other choices of restaurants out there it is probably the best. You can go to all their websites and they all list all their foods with calories, fat, etc. You'll see that Subway is probably the healthiest.
